THE RETURN

Todd Helton is like the passage of time, the weathering of stone, the deposition of sediment, he will always be there. Forever faithful. Pulling out of his worst season to date, in which he didn't hit his third home run until around mid-August, he's well on track after his two-homer Tuesday night at the Cubs'. Helton can remain humble about the season's prospects, but we have to face the fact that you don't win three Golden Gloves and have an entire meal named after you at Coors for being mediocre.

On a more personal note, this marks a return to the blog after nearly four years of inactivity. What's happened since then? Some trades, some dashed seasons, alot of beers shared at Coors, intense interest gained in the University of Colorado. I'm trying to write more after moving back west, dropping my creative writing major and becoming busier than I ever was. Hopefully something good will come out of it. Maybe Sox will rejoin, we can only hope.

It's beautiful to be back, here's to a great season!
